It’s been very difficult getting connected while away visiting my family in Alabama – SLJ2.0 – I will catch up once I return next week.
Trudging through pages and pages – there is so much information out there. I found one school’s site that’s worth more time:
http://www.mpsomaha.org/willow//teachers/index.htm
I had the most luck going on:
http://webtools4u2use.wikispaces.com/Audio+&+Podcasting#toc4
Since I wanted to hear what kids were doing I scrolled down to the bottom of the page for the Willow school’s page.
Well, I’ve found a few podcast by students and teachers and it seems like fun. I used itunes and searched education. It’s takes time.
Question – does anyone understand tags? How should I use them?
I’ve got my google reader set up and am successfully receiving RSS feeds – it’s very cool. I am having difficulty getting feed from the SLJ 2.0 Learning Community New York Blogs site. It will only post from around the world not the US. Is there no way to do this since the site is so big?
I don’t know about any of you other Web 2.0 participants but the idea of putting things out there for anyone to read is all about being vulnerable. I’ve been told that whatever you put on line – is there for good, once it’s out there it can never be removed. Is that so? In fact, I just wrote about a book I recently read and then erased the entire thing. I think this blogging could be very valuable with my students but I need to overcome this fear. Any suggestions?
I’m doing 12 things with Michael, hope this works!
